Your new life in Canada is one phone call away!

What are CAIPS and GCMS?

Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System (CAIPS) is an automated system for application processing outside Canada. Information is entered in the system from application forms and supporting documentation submitted by applicants for immigrant and visitor visas, returning residence permits and student and employment authorizations.

Global Case Management System (GCMS) is a new system introduced in 2010 by IRCC and has superseded CAIPS. It is used by all Canadian Visa Offices and the Consulates for all kinds of Visa Applications. It has detailed record of

  • an applicant’s file,

  • correspondence from and to IRCC,

  • documents received from the applicant,

  • detailed notes from the officers reviewing the file at each stage,

thus providing valuable information on the current status and future processing of your application for Canadian Visa cases such as Express Entry applications, tourist visas, Study and Work permits.

Why request your CAIPS/GCMS file?

  • Understand Visa Refusal

  • Know the status of your visa application

  • Prepare for interview and gather documents
